The Engineering Office e-novent SA was founded in 2001 by Edouard Menoud, who in 1992 created IEM SA (Ingénierie Electronique & Monétique), a company essentially specialized in electronic money. E-novent S.A. was created to focus on innovation projects and research on the matter of "vision", having very little to do with electronic money.

The main product of e-novent SA is the SPY. It is the first anti-drowning system of the world, invented by Mr. Edouard Menoud. This system has been developed in collaboration with "Service-conseil informatique", Mr Gilbert Vuilleumier in Geneva.
